The company has launched the new Dimensity 8400 for incredible performance and power efficiency in premium smartphones. The newly launched Dimensity incorporates eight Arm Cortex‑A725 processors and up to 41% higher multi-core performance. Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has also announced to launch of its smartphone Redmi Turbo 4 with the Dimensity 8400 Ultra. Coming to the feature, the Dimensity 8400 is equipped with Arm Mali-G720 MC7 GPU combined with MediaTek Frame Rate Converter (MFRC). It will deliver a gigantic gaming performance. The G720 GPU requires 30% less memory bandwidth which results in extending the power savings and performance. The Dimensity 8400 comes with a Network Observation System (NOS) which helps in enabling 5G/Wi-Fi switching. There is a feature of touch latency optimization and the latest 8th-generation NPU. With the 8th-generation NPU, users can perform some of the common tasks easily including translation, rewriting, reply crafting, AI recording, and generating photos, videos, music, and more. The company has also equipped its latest Soc with MediaTek’s new Dimensity Agentic AI Engine (DAE) which will enhance the usage of AI from traditional AI applications to sophisticated AI. It features LPDDR5X memory along with 8533Mbps max memory frequency and UFS 4 + MCQ storage type. It supports Bluetooth 5.4, 320MP max camera sensor with 3x 32MP @ 30FPS, and 4K60 (3840 x 2160) max video capture resolution. It has a MediaTek NPU 880 (Generative AI, Agentic AI/DAE) AI processing unit. For imaging, the company has integrated MediaTek Imagiq 1080 ISP image processor along with QPD zoom hardware engine which will result in more clear, precise, and rapid photography.
