Former One Direction member Liam Payne dies after falling from a balcony in Buenos Aires

Liam Payne, 31-year-old former member of the world-renowned band One Direction lost his life outside a hotel in Buenos Aires Argentina, after falling from the third-floor balcony. The Argentine authorities have confirmed the incident and stated that police were called to the hotel on Wednesday on a complaint received by the hotel that ”an aggressive man, may be under the influence of drugs and alcohol”. The hotel manager learned about the incident after hearing a loud noise when he found Payne had fallen into the building’s interior patio. The death of the British singer has also been confirmed by the emergency services who were present at the scene. American singer Charlie Puth expressed his disbelief on social media and wrote, ”Liam was special and kind to me. He was one of the major artists I have worked with. I cannot believe he is no more.” MTV, Spotify, BRIT Awards, and many of the prominent organizations of the music industry have expressed their condolences to family and friends of Payne. Liam Payne garnered major international fame as a member of a boy band One Direction which was formed after bagging third position on the British X Factor in 2010. However, the group was disbanded in 2016 and Payne continued his career as a solo singer and earned a massive fortune of about $70 million. He has earlier disclosed his trouble in dealing with mental health and excessive use of alcohol to cope with the pressure to handle fame. He made his last appearance at a concert at Bueons Aires where he lent his support to his former band member Niall Horan. Payne had posted an update just hours before the tragedy on Snapchat regarding his visit to Argentina and has expressed his excitement about returning home to meet his dog, as per local reports.
