Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz says family is ‘trying to recover’ from Baba Siddique’s murder: ‘Very close family friend’

Actor Salman Khan’s brother, Arbaaz Khan, who is currently promoting his new film Bandaa Singh Chaudhary, opened up about politician Baba Siddique’s recent death . Siddique was gunned down in Mumbai on October 12, and an alleged member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed that the hit was carried out because of the politician’s ties to actor Salman. Arbaaz said that Siddiqui was a close friend of the Khan family, and was extremely loved by members of the film industry. Speaking at the press conference, Arbaaz shared, “Baba Siddique sir was a very very close family friend and a very loved person. Unke sath dekho aap hamesha Eid ke time pe puri industry jama hoti thi toh unke jaane ka bada afsos ho raha hai (Everyone from the industry would celebrate Eid with him. We are all grieving his death). Prayers for the family. We are all affected by this incident and it’s very unfortunate. We are all kind of trying to recover from this thing.” Arbaaz previously told Zoom, “We are doing fine. I wouldn’t say that we are doing absolutely alright because there is a lot happening right now, in the family. Of course, everyone is worried.” He added, “I wouldn’t say we are all okay right now but we are trying to do what we can do the best. We are ensuring that everybody, along with the government and the police, is making sure that things go the way they should, and, he’s (Salman) protected. Everyone is doing their best. We want to stay this way right now.” In April, alleged members of the same gang fired shots outside Salman’s house in Mumbai. The gang members had previously threatened the star on a few occasions. After Siddique’s death, Arbaaz said that the family is trying taking every measure to protect Salman, who has also been granted high-level security amid recent escalations.
