Prince Harry thinks Meghan Markle is not safe in UK: 'It's still dangerous'

Since they have stepped down from their duties as royals, the Duke and Duchess don't receive any police protection. Therefore, after moving to the United States, Meghan has visited the UK very few times. The United Kingdom is not safe for Meghan Markle! At least Prince Harry thinks so. The Duke of Sussex's rift with the Royal Family is far from over, and amid this, Harry has shared why he thinks that his homeland is unsafe for his wife. In a new documentary on Britain's ITV, Tabloids on Trial , Harry talked about his fight with British tabloids and said that he will not bring his wife to the UK because he is scared of an “acid” or knife attack”. The Duke of Sussex said, "It's still dangerous, and all it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff to act on what they have read.'' He added, "And whether it's a knife or acid, whatever it is, and these are things that are of genuine concern for me. It's one of the reasons why I won’t bring my wife back to this country." Since they have stepped down from their duties as royals, the Duke and Duchess don't receive any police protection. Therefore, after moving to the United States, Meghan has visited the UK very few times. The last time she was in her husband's homeland was to attend the Queen's funeral in September 2022. Prince Harry stepped down from his royal role in 2020 to build a new life in the US with his wife, Meghan and their son Archie. Later, the couple welcomed their second child, daughter Lilibet, in Montecito, California. In the same interview, Harry, who has been embroiled in legal battles against British tabloids, said his "mission" against them partly caused the rift between him and his father King Charles and his brother Prince William's family. When asked if his legal battle with the media has “destroyed the relationship with your family,” Harry replied, “I think that’s certainly a central piece to it. But that’s a hard question to answer because anything I say about my family results in a torrent of abuse from the press. I’ve made it very clear that this is something that needs to be done, it would be nice if we did it as a family. I believe that, from a service standpoint and when you’re in a public role, these are the things that we should be doing for the greater good. I’m doing this for my reasons.” (With inputs from agencies) With over three years of experience, Pragati Awasthi specialises in everything related to the showbiz world. None
