The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has added 70 new vacancies across various departments of the Bihar government for the 70th Integrated Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024. The overall number of vacancies now stands at 2,027, which has risen from the previous count of 1,957. As per its latest notification, the BPSC has further extended the last date of receiving the applications up to 4 November, 2024 instead of earlier announced 18 October. According to the new date, the existing applicants will have the opportunity to update their One-Time Registration (OTR) profiles from 19 October to 4 November, however no change will be allowed in profile details like name, mother’s name, father’s name and date of birth. Similarly, candidates can also make changes to their 70th CCE application forms, except for the aforementioned details. Apart from this, the commission allows the facility of changing gender and category to the aspirants through an additional fee. Except for this, BPSC has rescheduled the preliminary examination which is to be held on 13th and 14th December, 2024 in lieu of scheduled date 17th November, and around 7 to 8 lakh aspirants would appear in the preliminary exam this year. All applicants must possess a postgraduate degree. For the full post-wise eligibility criteria, candidates are advised to refer to the official notification. The application fee is ₹600 for candidates belonging to the general category while ₹150 is payable by candidates belonging to SC and ST, those who belong to Bihar, are permanent resident female candidates of Bihar and disabled category candidates.
